Indian cities have a severe lack of public open spaces, and there is a need to create them, small or large, wherever possible. As a replicable model, the Redevelopment of Ranga Bhavan Chowk sees the re-appropriation of existing, unused land into a public space and helps fill a social void to create a space where people can enjoy being outdoors.
